New Blog Website

Hi Everyone!  Blogger is laggy and relatively unused by those within our demographic.  So unfortunately, we have MOVED.  Season II of garbageland will still be available at Podomatic.com however, the blog will no longer be available on blogger as of this Friday. We've moved to TUMBLR...  And no we're not hipsters but unfortunately for us this blog community is a little more on the level and less saturated.  SPREAD THE WORD not the clap.
Sincerely,
Brooke E.

No more?

Helloo everyone.  As you may have noticed the podcast has been out of commission for a while.  Well..  it will probably stay that way.  Some unfortunate things have happened (no one is dead) that may cause a restructuring of the show under a different name...  In which case, you will be notified.  Until further notice, PEACE MOTHERFUCKERS.  I hope you enjoyed the show.

Updates and BRAND NEW Garbageland Episode 11: "You're so weak you can't even break Chalk!"

This podcast was recorded two weeks ago after John and I returned from visiting with the Occupiers at Occupy Nashville.  Which was about 12am so I apologize for the lackluster attitudes but we're fucking tired OKAY?! We've been on temporary hiatus for the last two weeks and as a make up for this lapse in podcast content, I have made this podcast extra long.  A whopping hour and five minutes and as such means that I have also NOT edited it down to bare bones as usual.  Longer is automatically better right?  We'll see.

Just a reminder, all podcasts pre-November 2nd will be disappearing by the next podcast release(I.E. Next Thursday).  Download them if you would like to listen to them again at a later date.  Until we can get a backup for all the previous episodes, we're limited to how much space we use on podomatic.com.

Within the following week, I will be releasing 2 special not-so-funny episodes of Garbageland with audio taken directly from the Occupy Nashville General Assembly.  This audio was taken the night of the first arrests on Legislative Plaza, so if you are wondering about the Occupy movement, this is a good place to start learning.

New podcasts will now be released on Thursday nights.

Thank you and good night.
~Brooke E.

In this week's episode:
Special Guest:  Jeremy Pearce

Brooke and John return from briefly Occupying Nashville.  We learn that there is an extent to what Jeremy will do to save his mother's life.  Julian and the group discuss their own irrational lawmaking.  John And Brooke discuss problems with protesters and police.  Julian and Jeremy go improving, and Jeremy shares more stories about harassing his brother.

Temporary Hiatus

Hello, good people.  As you all know we're currently working on a film entitled Worm. As such John, Julian and myself have been increasingly busy for the past 2 weeks.   I haven't had time to record and cut a podcast lately, but will return to doing so shortly.  Thank you and Goodnight.

No Podcast this week

My apologies.  John Ferguson didn't call me again.  Also, we're currently very busy with filming and getting ready for WORM.  I don't know when we will be recording another one but hopefully sometime this week, we'll see if John calls.

Sorry, folks we'll be removing the old podcasts soon.

Hello, friends.  As you know we publish our podcast via podomatic.com.  However, Podomatic  has a limit to which they will allow us to publish before we have to start deleting the podcasts.  So as of November 2nd I will be removing all podcasts prior to Episode 9.  My suggestion to those of you who like to listen to the podcast more than once (or would like to hold on to them for the later blackmail of John Ferguson) is to download them permanently either via Itunes OR by going to the Podomatic website and clicking the "download episode" button.   I also suggest subscribing through Itunes so that you don't have to visit either here or there to listen every week.

Tell your friends about us or we'll all cry...  Well, John will.

Garbageland Episode 10: Jeremy and the Wind-Powered Fan

Hello, friends.  Better late than never, eh?  Welcome to the Illness episode wherein Julian and Brooke are sick and John is not.

Special Guests: Doug and Jeremy

In this week's Episode:

John returns from his trip to LA dressed as a Hipster and mistreatment ensues.  Brooke feels no sympathy for the suicidal and famous.  Jeremy pitches ideas and inventions that have already been invented in the 1800's, the group discusses Necrophiliacs and Doug tells of his scary dreams.  Jeremy tells the worst story in the world regarding his fear of roller coasters and the group debates the pros and cons of George Romero and running zombies.  Jeremy relives without regret the stories of tying his brother to various objects and getting hockey checked by his mom.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Definitely no podcast today.

Sorry, folks I was too sick all week to record and cut a podcast.  (Also, one of our hosts who shall remain nameless, has failed to call or text me at all.)  Will put a new one up sometime this week though.

~Brooke E.

Apologies.

Hi, friends.  This week's podcast MAY be late.  I have come down with a terrible illness that sucks and unfortunately, it has wrecked my voice.  Normally this wouldn't be a huge problem, but I literally can't speak for more than 2 seconds without choking.  Some people might be excited about that and those people are mean.  Also, you should know that if I were to do a podcast I run the potential of getting everyone involved ill...  So we don't want that.  But, I promise that if I am feeling better, I will put up a brand new podcast or at least an old one you've never heard.

Regards,
BE

Garbageland Episode 8: If you Spread your buttcheeks they'll put you in Jail.

Special Guests: Shane and Dallas

In this week's episode John, Brooke and Julian (THE HOSTS OF THE SHOW) are joined once again by Shane and later by the much parodied Dallas.  Shane discusses his inability to be a swinger, and the group discusses sex with dolphins (it's a bad idea).  Dallas drops by to talk about his tattoos, and Brooke suggests he not go back in time to the Wild West.  John and Shane have differing opinions on whether to go gay for pay and Dallas has a discussion with his favorite person: Himself.

The Return of Doug and Jeremy??

As some of you may know:  Julian, John, Myself and the Untrademarked gang will all be working on a feature film this November.  As such, Jeremy and Doug who have moved to LA will be returning to Nashville for a few months to shoot said film. Naturally, it would seem there would be a wondrous opportunity  to have Jeremy and Doug back on the show (Doug was featured in Episode 4 and Jeremy in Episode 2).  Well, as it turns out Shane (Episode 7) mildly irritated Jeremy with his comments about the film: "Mind your P's and Q's".  Shane will be back on another episode to publicly apologize but Jeremy may not return to the podcasting world.... FOREVER.  So let's hope this apology is a good one.

In the mean time, we invite you to view and make your own opinions about the video in question.

Episode 7: Supplemental Materials

If you have listened to Podcast #7  then you have heard special guest, Shane O'Brien doling out some harsh criticisms in regards to a picture John took of himself on his phone... We don't like to leave our listeners in the dark so here it is:

Garbageland Episode 7: "Come on, Biscuit!"

Dear Listeners,

It has recently come to my attention that there may be some confusion regarding the format of the show.  For the record, this show has not one, not two but THREE hosts: Myself (Brooke E.), John Ferguson, and Julian.  Also for the record, I am not sure how said confusion initially arose...  Sure, we've had some repeat guests, but one would assume that if the same three people are always members of the panel that those three people are in fact hosts and whatnot. Hope this clears things up.  And if it doesn't God (whichever you choose or choose not to believe in) help us all...

Sincerely,
Brooke E.

Garbageland Episode 7
This week's guest:  Shane O'Brien

The hosts are joined this week by Shane O'Brien who you may (or may not, and shame on you if you don't) remember from the short film: WORM and various other films from Untrademarked Productions.  Shane tells  tales of bathroom mischief and strange behavior, Brooke exploits homosexual insecurities, and John ruins Shane's potential of "locking this shit down" with a lovely lady. Shane receives a strange and racist phone call, and the hosts learn that Hunter ( Episode 6) is immune to Shane's talents in the arena of peer pressure.

Special request.

Hello, friends.  If you have listened to the last podcast, you know that Untrademarked Productions is currently seeking funding for a feature film: Worm.  This film is based on the short (which you can watch in a previous post), which was made for a mere $100.00.  I will be playing a role in the creation of this film (Art Direction), as will Julian (VFX Supervisor) and even John has a role in the movie (he's an actor), so we here at Garbageland implore you to give even a small amount of money to help us create what will be a truly unique film.  And guess what you get stuff for doing so.  WOW!  You can see the complete list of stuff you can get at the indiegogo website located:

Thanks, Cool Dudes.

Episode 5: "My name's James. I like dogs." Now up!

Episode 5: "My name's James.  I like dogs."
Special guest: Brent M.

In this week's epsiode thrill  as the group discusses John's sad (VERY VERY) sad attempt at throwing a house party that no one attends.  We learn that John's recent obsession with people shitting their pants is not so recent. The group plays a lovely game of "2 truths and 1 Lie" regarding things John's mother has said to him.  The group defines the epitome of "loser", Brent recounts a terrible mishap whilst moving a shelf,  and John thinks Brent has never been sympathetic towards another human being in his life.

Required Materials:
We talk quite a bit about the short films some of us have made in this episode, so as is proper please feel free to view them :D

John in "Sadness Party":
First, this is the fabled video of John's terrible sadness party.  Notice the lack of other human beings.

The Pugilist:
Second up, we have Brent Montgomery's (who also is the star of the film) Production 4:  The Pugilist.  John plays the referee and even shaved his head into that of a bald man for this lovely film.  It really is great.  You should watch it.  Also John's dad makes an appearance as The Bronson Bullet...

Next up, we talk about a movie in this podcast which made John's poor mother LEAVE the screenings out of embarrassment.  Watch it and be embarrassed for her.  I present to you:  Brotherly Love, a John Ferguson film.

The Plumpers:
Last and probably least, I'm not sure because I can't be bothered to actually make an informed decision, John's Production 2:  The Plumpers.  Starring John's father.  Who we've talked so often about....
